For a while, the only healthy vending snacks available were cereal bars and low-fat crisps. Thankfully, this is no longer the case. The healthy snacks market has boomed and we are spoilt for choice. Crumbly flapjacks, moreish crisps, chewy protein bars and tasty fruit snacks are now fulfilling our snacking needs. As a vending company, the struggle to fill a row of healthy snacks is now a thing of the past. Instead, a whole machine can glisten with these new brightly coloured brands, oozing with health.
We cannot all enjoy the leading vending brands, but that just means we should switch up what’s in the machines. Newer brands tend to be more inventive, taking into consideration diet preferences and requirements. There are several reasons why a person may be restricted by what they can eat. For example, 1% of the UK population suffers from coeliac disease. This means they have to cut out gluten. A growing number of people also avoid gluten because they believe it is better for them to do so. In the UK, between 1 and 2 in every 10 people have lactose intolerance which means they have to avoid milk. There are healthy vending options for them too. For people who have restricted diets, eating on the go can be particularly difficult. Whereas at home food can be prepared, convenience food (such as snacks) can be a luxury find. Fortunately, people are realising that not only are these newer snacks suitable for everyone, but they taste delicious too.
