The team at Earth Day is doing a fantastic job building the world’s largest environmental movement. The first Earth Day celebration was on April 22nd, 1970, and 20 years later people are still encouraged to take more care of their environment. Talking about Earth Day has got us thinking about what we do.
When designing our unmanned cafe concept, we wanted to make sure that the resources and materials used were not doing damage to our environment. So, we decided to make our machine surrounds and furniture from up-cycled pallet wood and sustainable forests.
We choose the products for our Doozy range carefully – based on more than just taste. Often our products are Fairtrade or Rainforest Alliance certified. The latter works to solve environmental and social challenges.
You find out more about this one by reading our blog Reuse, Reduce, Recycle – Coffee? and from 918 Coffee. Simply put, the old coffee grounds roast the new coffee beans. Delicious coffee and sustainable too.

We’re always looking for new ways to be more sustainable, if you have any ideas let us know!
